Say “F It” and Just Go, Hero 💥

I’ve been reflecting on the crazy amount of risks I’ve taken so far in my 20s, and I gotta be real with you—they’ve been huge.​

Bold? Absolutely.

Smart? Eh… not always.

Crazy? Absolutely always.

From taking a leap of faith and joining the Navy (then getting out during COVID) to quitting my job at Amazon and diving headfirst into real estate—only to fail hard.​

But each one came with metaphorical riches.

And I mean every single one of them.

I like to call these my “F it” moments.​

Each one was messy. Each one was stressful. And yes, fear (aka false evidence appearing real) was right there breathing down my neck the entire time.

But I knew the only way to get closer to my dreams fulfilled… was to put my big boy pants on.

It had to get dirty. Fall in the mud and crawl my way out.​

Time and time again.

And every time I made it through, I came out a different man. Stronger. Bolder. More confident.

And with every chapter, I gained tools to help me fight harder for what I want moving forward.

That kind of growth? You can’t fake.​

Will Smith’s “F It” Moment 🎬

I once heard Will Smith share a story that perfectly captures this mindset. Early in his career, he attended a party at Quincy Jones’s house.

Out of nowhere, Quincy handed him a script and said, “Let’s do an audition right now.” Will was unprepared and hesitant, but Quincy insisted.

Surrounded by industry heavyweights, Will decided to say “F it” and perform on the spot. That impromptu audition led to him landing the lead role in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, launching his acting career. ​

Your Turn to Leap

So I’m telling you right now—if you’re still reading this, there’s something on your heart that you know you need to do. Maybe it’s finding a new job. Starting that business. Or, finally, just going all in.​

Whatever it is… stop hesitating.

Time won’t wait on you. So there is no need for you to keep waiting on you.
